Laarni Liwanag,
Devon Art Reproduction and Prints

After 17 years invested as an internal auditor for a commercial bank in the Philippines, Laarni Liwanag decided to make a new life in Canada in 1998. Her extensive experience in the banking industry enabled her to secure a position with the Canadian Western Bank as an Audit Administration Officer.

Laarni later got involved in the set-up and operation of a wire transfer company owned by a Philippine-based commercial bank that catered specifically to Filipino Canadians. During her spare time, she volunteered at a friend's art gallery and it was there that she discovered her niche.

Laarni discovered that many artists wanted prints of their artwork either for advertising purposes or to sell as limited edition prints. Realizing a viable market for quality art reproduction, she implemented this service as an additional feature of the existing art gallery.

The art gallery, Devon Art Gallery , enjoys 18 years of continuous operation at its present location on Denman Street in Vancouver and is a tourist attraction for art enthusiasts from all over the world.
