Christine Reynard,
Downtown Dogs Mobile Training Services
Downtown Dogs Mobile Training Services head trainer, Christine Reynard, has been hooked on dogs ever since she began working at an animal hospital and managing a doggy daycare in Malibu, Ca. in 1999. Over the next four years, Christine spent thousands of hours watching over her "pack"; observing their play, body language, pack hierarchy, and sometimes, aggression. By spending so much time with the dogs, Christine came into an intuitive understanding of what makes dogs tick.
After leaving California to return home to Vancouver in late 2002, Christine continued to work alongside dogs in various settings: pet-sitter/dog walker, working at a high-end dog boutique, and as 'quarry' for the Vancouver Police Dog Squad - which she still does. In 2005 she attended and graduated from Canada West Canine Centre in Salmon Arm, one of the only governmentally accredited schools for dog trainers in Western Canada . Since then Christine has helped countless numbers of dogs and their families come to a better understanding of one another. In spring 2006, Downtown Dogs was launched - the culmination of a seven-year journey.
Christine stays on top of her field by attending lectures, workshops, and reading everything dog-related that she can get her hands on. She maintains working relationships with many professionals in the dog-care industry such as other trainers, kennel owners, doggy day cares, veterinarians, rescue workers, and most importantly of all, many dog lovers. She is the proud "momma" of a six-year old pug named Roxy who is the apple of her eye. For more information contact Christine directly at:
