Ahmad Mahin Ranjbar is the principal of Career Development Consulting, a division of APR Consulting, the company he owns along with his spouse Parisa Pajouhesh - who heads the Social Policy Consulting division. Ahamad and Parisa moved to Canada in 1996 and Ahmad became a programmer analyst in 2000. After graduation he moved to Vancouver to find a job without success. In 2005, he graduated from Cornerstone International Education and worked as a counsellor with settlement and employment related service providers in BC. In 2006, with the help of the Self-Employment Program at Toward Excellence Consulting Inc., he and his spouse started their own business and contribute to the development of our Canadian economy. Their company is involved with projects in research and analysis. Ahmad realized that it was a struggle not only for himself and his wife to find a job in Vancouver 's job market but also for the 14,000 skilled immigrants coming to British Columbia each year. Parisa and Ahmad are actively advocating internationally trained professional immigrants issues with top leaders, politicians and organizations.
Ahmad is a member of the Canadian Community Economic Development Network (CCEDNet) and serves on the Human Capital Development subcommittee. He also represents the Association of International Economists (aoie) as a member of Capacity BC Association of Internationally Trained Professionals to provide leadership in the development of policy recommendations.
