Sandy Struss,
Sandy Struss Enterprises
Once you meet her, you'll never forget her. Sandy Struss has an energy and presence that fills a room, and a burning desire to make a difference. It was only since deciding to venture out on her own, however, that her vision and purpose really took shape. Her mission is "to champion those who dare to be extraordinary, and inspire others to lead inspired lives," and that fits across every part of her business.
After graduating top of her MBA class in 1994, Sandy spent most of her career working with entrepreneurs to create and grow new businesses in a variety of industries. Following the dot-com bust, she moved into investment banking for two years to round out her business knowledge in the finance industry, and developed the skills she would later need when she finally started her own company.
She first ventured out on her own a little by accident, taking opportunities to write business plans and marketing pieces for entrepreneurs looking to raise money, and managed to get by on referrals and "flying by the seat of her pants" to make ends meet. She had no plan of her own, however, and knew that without a vision and a plan for herself, what she was doing wasn't sustainable.
It was only after taking the SE Equity Program that she managed to create a vision and a personal brand that combined all of her strengths and passions under one umbrella as "Champion-of-the-Underdog!" Sandy's consulting division works with entrepreneurs and SME's looking to raise investment capital - writing business plans, preparing communications materials, and coaching entrepreneurs on their presentation skills.
Sandy has a roster of consultants she works with, while she continues to build her brand and profile in the professional speaking realm, which is where her true gift and passion lies. She is an inspirational keynote speaker, writer, and aspiring television personality who shares "Stories of the Underdog" to uplift and inspire others, touching the heart and "inner underdog" within each of us.
Her biggest challenge in all of this has been to remember to take care of herself first, and she continues to learn new lessons and insights on this grand adventure of entrepreneurship. Although her business is in its early stages, Sandy knows she is in it for the right reasons and couldn't be more inspired about what she's up to.
