Full Circle Meditation
Margot Sangster has been teaching meditation since 1998. When her social services position with the New Westminster School District was eliminated due to provincial funding cutbacks, she seized the opportunity to follow her passion. With the support of the Toward Excellence team, she launched her own business. Full Circle Meditation (Practices for Inner Peace) helps people achieve their full potential and lead balanced lives through meditation instruction and other complementary practices. Meditation instruction is delivered in a variety of formats: classes and series, drop-in groups, workshops, one-to-one sessions, programs, as well as non-residential retreats. While Margot was working with Toward Excellence creating her business, her fledgling company Full Circle Meditation, was awarded its first ongoing contract; providing meditation instruction to youth at Burnaby Youth Secure Custody Centre.
In addition to teaching students of all levels, Margot has successfully branched into the private and public sector and worked with employers interested in the health and welfare of their staff. These companies have realized the connection between happy, balanced employees and an improved bottom line. Some of the organizations she has worked with are: Telus Mobility, Vancouver Public Library, Renshaw Travel, Coquitlam School District, the Urban First Nations Learning Center, Lookout and Homeward Bound. Margot is uniquely positioned to manage this new company and provide meditation instruction to people from all walks of life. She is a graduate of the Community Dharma Leader's Program offered by Spirit Rock Meditation Centre in California; has lived and volunteered at Spirit Rock and Wat Kow Tahm Meditation Centre in Thailand; and over the course of her meditation career she has practiced meditation in Nepal, England, Canada, and elsewhere in the US.
