Harmony Thiessen, Marketing Advisor

Harmony Thiessen is the CEO of Harmony Communications, a full-service marketing firm located in North Vancouver. She is an Inspirational Speaker and her company provides business building strategies.

Harmony's sojourn in the business community has been anything but orthodox. She spent 16 years in Project Management for human relief and development projects in third world countries before focusing her career in the for-profit Canadian field. Tempered by the insights learned from the African jungle, Irish terrorists and Central American guerrilla warfare, her overseas experiences created the opportunity to develop an extensive public speaking career in Canada, the US and Europe. Her immersion in human suffering lead to a conference platform focused on challenging the Western mind and heart to maximize our potential and create a better global environment.

Her business consulting practice evolved both vocationally and personally. After years of extensive travel, various leadership roles in boards and organizations, college teaching, public exposure in radio, TV, and platform speaking Harmony took a "time-out" in 1996 and moved from her home in Winnipeg to learn a new language and culture in Montreal. She emerged with a fresh vision.

Presently she speaks to various audiences on themes such as: Creating the Life you Lead, Innovative Thinking, and many marketing and business topics. She assists businesses in their overall strategy to increase revenues by strategic business building and marketing design. Harmony teaches courses for new business owners on Marketing and Business Ethics, and Marketing 101-404 in a variety of educational environments. She received the Notable Networker Award for the North Shore in 2003, was past president of Business Network International in West Vancouver, and served as an active member in Rotary International.

Harmony's educational experience is ongoing. She has a Bachelor of Theology from Vision Christian University and studied towards her Master's degree at Briarcrest Theological Seminary. She has completed scores of marketing and business development courses. Currently she studies marketing and business development strategies, quantum physics and anything artistic she can find.

Harmony enjoys the outdoors, art, hiking and maintaining a childlike attitude of wonder. She is a proud mother of two and grandmother of one.
